Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina Shevchenko, an Kyrgyzstani Muay-Thai fighter from Peru and a mixed martial arts athlete fighting for the UFC in the Flyweight Division, is in Kyrgyzstani. Valentina is her younger sister, and also a UFC competitor. Antonina Shevchenko's career in combat sports started out as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller in a unanimous decision. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and then a gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in with her debut in 2003. She won at the world championships for light Welterweight at WKC in in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last seen fighting Isa Tidblad Keskikangas during The Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina Shychenko's first professional MMA debut took place in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to achieve a record of 3-0. Shevchenko was absent from MMA so that she could focus on boxing. She made her comeback to fight Anissa haddaoui, at Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. Following the league's dissolution in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera on Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina's superior strike skills allowed her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed after this win. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Strikes Finale in the fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi in the unanimous verdict. She then was unable to win her next bout due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina recovered from the loss to beat Lucie Pudilova with a back-naked choke submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko went 2-2 in her subsequent three bouts. She defeated Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina is currently being knocked out by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
