At the age four, she began singing and received an opportunity to be famous when she asked her mother to take her to an audition for Sesame Street. As a 6-year old she began her acting career with Sesame Street's educational children's television program. She continued to pursue her acting career throughout New York City with many productions that included Fences which was a Broadway production, as well as Orfeo del Campo, Off-Broadway's production. When she was seven, she was a contestant in Star Search and won twice getting a four-star score when she was on the show another time.
